Last week, Frontier Airlines announced that it will be adding another non-stop flight to its itinerary at Philadelphia International Airport. Beginning in February 2018, Frontier will offer a direct flight from PHL to Charleston, South Carolina (CHS), which continues the budget airline’s expansion in Philadelphia.
“We are very excited that Frontier will be offering non-stop service from Philadelphia to Charleston, SC, which is a popular tourist destination,” said Airport CEO Chellie Cameron in a recent press release. “We are pleased that Frontier continues to bring new service to Philadelphia and look forward to even more flights to more places.”
The newest flight will be offered seasonally and will be available three days a week. It will be served with an A-320 aircraft and will operate Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
“We are excited to expand our commitment to the Philadelphia region with more low-cost options,” said Frontier spokesperson Richard Oliver. “The community support for our Low Fares Done Right product has been great, and that’s why we’re announcing this new service to Charleston today.”
Since December 2014, Frontier has added twenty non-stop destinations (some year-round, some seasonal) to its list of PHL flights; this next Charleston one will be the twenty-first. As of right now, Frontier is the only carrier at PHL that offers non-stop flights to Punta Gorda, Florida and San Antonio, Texas. (American Airlines also offers non-stop service from PHL-CHS.)
